My family is going to Hawaii for Thanksgiving. I will fly to Honolulu on November 16th. That is exactly 100 days away.

So the question is, how fit can I get in 100 days?

The Plan:

Eat macros.

Workout.

Get enough sleep.

2 cheat meals a week (basically 1 cheat day)

Drink lots of water.

Walk 5k or more steps per day.

The Science:

Guidelines for weight loss state that you should plan to lose 1 to 2 pounds of weight per week, but no such comprehensive guidelines for rate of body fat loss exist.

The American Council on Exercise asserts, though, that you can safely and successfully plan on losing about 1 percent of your body fat per month. This sounds low from from my research on what others have achieved.

There is about 15 weeks in 100 days. 2 lbs of fat per week would be 30, 1 lbs of fat per week would be 15.

30 lbs of fat lost would put me at 13.33% body fat %. 15 would be 20.56%.

So I think between those 2 numbers is my goal. This of course means I need to keep all my current muscle mass which will be difficult.
