Product Idea — Spotify Wrapped, but for your whole life
I want a captians log, that fills itself out automatically
We all love the Spotify Wrapped. I wrote about this yesterday.
Wrapped shows us an automatic record of our life. It shows us things that we knew, some that are surprising. And of course it is a status game, showing who is in the top 10% of listeners to various artists and who is listening to what.
The thing I personally like most about Spotify Wrapped, is the automatic record.
When we are living, we only have access to the present moment. The future hasn’t come, the past happened, but we can’t change it. Remembering and appreciating what we did, where we were, is sometimes hard. That is why I love automatic records. Things like Wrapped, or Google Photos heat map etc, what show us info about ourselves, without the work of creating that system ourselves.
We all use tons of digital products, which are recording data about ourselves that we could use to understand us better, but these products don’t make this record easy to see or understand.
