Here are all the main ways, from easiest to hardest, to run Stable Diffusion on a Mac.

  1. Download DiffusionBee (easy)
  2. Use a web UI (medium)
  3. Run directly from the Terminal (hard)
  4. Run online (not local, can cost money)

DiffusionBee (easiest way to run Stable Diffusion on a Mac)

The easiest way to run Stable Diffusion on your Mac is to download DiffusionBee.

Web UI (medium difficulty, but lots of features)

If you want to be able to use all the different features, install Automatic1111 or InvokeAI.

Now Web UI can be confusing, but it is still running off your computer. It just loads up a local server so you can control it from your browser.

There are two great options for Stable Diffusion web UI:

  1. Automatic1111
  2. InvokeAI

Automatic1111

Tons of features, has a nice web UI, but also can use the terminal commands if you want.
