How to record your iPhone screen

Quicktime > New Movie Recording > change source to iPhone

I have been asked this question a few times, so I finally decided to write down my answer.

It is pretty easy. Just plug your phone into your Mac (it has to be plugged in, so no wireless recording)

Open Quicktime and chose File > New Movie Recording

There is a little white dropdown arrow right next to the Record button.

Yes that is my beautiful purple shirt. Thanks mom.

Pick your iPhone, and it should refresh the window and show your live iPhone screen. Click record to start recording.

Makes sure to export at 1080p when you are finished.

I recorded a short video about this if you’re a visual learner.
